How did NYOLEM come up?

As students,  we had the chance to go abroad for internships or exchange semester, and we ask other students from our school how was living abroad, was it easy to find a place to leave and so on. We had the chance to be surrounded by people travelling around the world but we realise some people didn’t have the chance.
NYOLEM was created so that everyone can find the information they need. We created a place where people can share their experiences, and can help others to find answers and inspirations for their experience abroad.
Thanks to NYOLEM, you will discover new horizons and become a real traveller.

NYOLEM traveler: Lucie, Amsterdam, 6 months

"I decided to do a 6-month internship in Amsterdam so that I could discover the Netherlands and experience another culture, different from ours.
My advice would be not to do it at the last minute, especially when it comes to housing, since Amsterdam is a city where housing is difficult and quite expensive. In addition to accommodation, I would recommend renting or buying a second-hand bike to explore the city, it is the best way to discover the lifestyle of the inhabitants and to discover places far from tourists. Thanks to NYOLEM, I discovered some unknown places and met people from the Ageovy's community."

"I went in Lisbon during 4 month to do an exchange in a local university. I discovered Lisbon and traveled around Portugal watching the most beautiful sunset and enjoying the most amazing beaches.
My advice for you would be to stay in a colocation as it is very common in Lisbon and alsto to travel around Portugal which is such a wonderful country where the cost of life is very affordable!Thanks to NYOLEM I was able to go
to the best cafe in town to work for my exams."

"At the beginning of my research, I was looking for a country close to France because I didn't want to go too far. Nevertheless, I wanted to improve my English.
I then discovered the Maltese archipelago. I then embarked on this beautiful adventure.
The island of Malta is cosmopolitan and rich in culture and history. These wonderful beaches and coves, its turquoise water, its tropical climate, this welcoming people.
This island is an excellent consensus to go abroad while staying in Europe and speak English.
Moreover if you like to party this island is perfect for you!"

NYOLEM traveler: Juliette, Glasgow, 5 months

"Going abroad was one of my best experience in my whole life. It helped me to discover new cultures places and people. I went to Scotland for 6 months, as an exchange student, and I was able to travel around the country easily. Thanks to NYOLEM, I quickly found my accommodation and I already had an overview of Glasgow.
My advice would be to not hesitate to go abroad to study. It is an experience which is so rewarding, you discover so many things and meet lot of people with who you share many experiences.
Furthermore, it is an easy way to travel around a country with friends !"

    Going to South Africa for 5 months to pursue an internship was one of the best experience of my life. Indeed, I improved my english, met new people's and learn more about their culture with interacting with the locals. Also I had the opportunity to discover more about the diversity of the landscapes and the natural beauty. All of these allowed me to have a greater openness of mind and that's why now I want to travel even more.
